ah,
Yes, I should have said "project" instead of "contest." Nonetheless, my comment still stands. I think it is a very interesting idea, but very challenging to execute. "Question: without development of lasting improvements, do you see an exodus of 2p2ers anywhere on the horizon? If not, what is the incentive to change things?" Friendster thought along those lines 'til MySpace. |

If you're making $100/month and will always make $100/month but could make $200/month, wouldn't you be willing to spend a bit of money to do so? There's an easy to see incentive. Also, there is more competition from sites like cardunners, 3bet, stoxpoker, etc. and if the poker landscape continues to erode, this competition will become more significant.

[/ QUOTE ] TWP: Sorry if I was unclear. The question was rhetorical...and probably pointed more toward the 2p2 community. Why aren't you leaving? I wholly agree with those advocating change. Regardless of what people take out of 2p2, it is a business. Adapt or die. Otherwise the $100 becomes $80, becomes $65.... |

[ QUOTE ] If instead, they always have to go through Chuck and have him make every minute change, it just takes a long time for every little thing and makes it a hassle. [/ QUOTE ] This is a non-issue. We've dealt with this issue before. Chuck [/ QUOTE ] Chuck, With all due respect to you, although this might be a non-issue to Mason/Mat/Ryan, it most likely would be an issue to a 3rd party who is given the task of web design and maintenance. |

TWP,
OK sorry if that was what he meant, as in such a person would in fact have FTP access. However I also think it would be helpful to Dynasty if he did as well for the magazine. Also BTW, I just want to say how awesome it is that you and El D are working hard to try to help 3 multi-millionaires make even more money off of 2+2. Of course if Mat gets a cut and he hasn't made his fortune yet, then he would definitely appreciate more monetizing even if Mason, David & Ray wouldn't be as grateful or needy of same. |

[/ QUOTE ] Not neccesarily an exodus but if 2+2 had some of the ideas that are mentioned in this thread people would be spending more time on the site as they wouldn't need to go to other sites that have those things avialable. Also a big incentive to change could be to attract new people that will stick around and won't bother looking for other sites cause they can find the majority of the things they're looking for within 2+2. |

Botch, ah: To be fair, they did do a redesign and add sweet wood paneling, yet a lot of people still complained. Some users are just always gonna whine no matter how awesome you make the site look. [/ QUOTE ] (waiting for sniper to come in and point out that el diablo complained) |

Jared,
I can't imagine I actually complained about the hot wood grain design theme. If I did I must have been joking or drunk. |
