kurto--

My suggestion to you is to attend every single ultrasound and keep your eyes peeled. With our first we both didn't want to find out, but sometime during my level 2 ultrasound my husband suddenly blurted "We're having a boy!" Apparently, only boys have penises and our baby had one. So, don't ask the ultrasound technician, don't upset your wife, go to ultrasound and look for a penis. Oh and don't blurt, if she really doesn't want to know, just keep it to yourself.

If you don't see anything, it doesn't mean you're having a girl. Sometimes the baby isn't in the right position to see and sometimes, well let's just say some babies are underendowed. Not to mention ultrasounds can be hard to read for us normal folk. But on the off chance you see a penis, you can be sure it's a boy.

BTW, I can sympathize with all of you. I'm 20wks, due on June 17 with number 2. Ultrasound tomorrow, so we'll see...

Uh huh. Our first son was estimated at "about 7 lbs" late in the pregnancy. He was 9lbs 10oz at birth.

Second time around has been harder. My wife wasn't well and more burden has been on me. He was colicky and needs to be held all the time. I averaged about 3.5 hrs. of sleep per day, from around 11:30 AM to 3 or so in the PM, then work at night.

It's not an adventure the second time, it's more of a grind.

Maybe other posters can chime in with a more positive story from second or more babies.

Things are improving though

FYI

Wife has begun contracting.
Sporadic, but getting stronger and more regular.

She thinks 48 hours tops.
I'll start making more frequent updates if possible.

Here we gogogogo!
