I'd just fold the flop, even if you are ahead, it's going to be difficult to play this OOP. [/ QUOTE ] |

Lucky,
[ QUOTE ] I like a smaller bet on flop. It has about as much f/e, more against some players, as bigger bet. [/ QUOTE ] But I'm not looking for fold equity; I'm ahead of his calling range here. Also I hate 3-betting the flop against anyone decent, I would only do it to induce a shove really. Surprised at all the people who say to just fold the flop. It's hard enough for him to have a better hand here. If we're bet-folding then is that really better than checking? Anyhow, I shoved the turn. Comments? |

If I am calling the flop bet, i am folding to that scary ass turn bet. But vs. a player I haven't played with I don't think I am EVER calling that flop.

I like it. tight players are looking for any reason to fold on a low paired board, and your hand looks so strong here.
I think he has an 8(A8,98s,T8s, Q8s?) 55, 77 and maybe TT. All of which he will likely fold. |

if i call the flop, which i could go either way on, i'd definitely do it with the intention of folding any turn.
