I raise 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] to 14 from the CO. Button calls, blinds fold. I've never played with villain before but he's obviously a 2+2'er. Standard tight stats over too small a sample to be worth mentioning. My image is tight if he has been paying attention. However most 2+2 just assume I'm crazy the first time we play so whatever.
Flop is 8 6 6 rainbow, I bet 30 into 34, he raises to 111. I think and call. Turn is the J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] to match the 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the board. I check, he thinks for quite a while (eats in to the last 15 sec) and bets 140 into 256. Que? Your move. fwiw my feel was that he did not have a 6. |

Pretty easy fold. He has a better 8 here at the least, no?

how about "you're almost always behind, even when you're ahead he will often force you to fold on the turn, you have little chance to improve, and even when you do improve you might still be losing/chopping"?

[/ QUOTE ] Yea that works. I say this because other people were saying he was giving bad advice in one of my threads. He might get better discussion going by explaining. |

I'd just fold the flop, even if you are ahead, it's going to be difficult to play this OOP.

I like a smaller bet on flop. It has about as much f/e, more against some players, as bigger bet. Additionally, if you bet 20 on flop, he makes it 55. If you think he's doesnt have the six, you can make it 140 or so and be done with it if called. In this way you may fold out his better 8, or maybe even 99-JJ type hand. You also discourage him from taking advantage when you're OOP. Additionally, you avoid this spot on turn, where any move by you commits you.
If you bet flop small, and 3 bet, he's making decision for his chips, not you. |
