Basically lesson learned by all, online hard to know who you play, even though it was kinda a douche move by HIV and co but I can 100% see pulling exact same [censored] if I was them, comes down to question of morals and what you would do to succed.

OK, let me clarify, lest you continue trolling me while I'm off in the poker room.

Since some of the online poker rooms have already implied that they cannot and plan to do nothing about multiple people playing an account or hand at once, this has become an accepted practice and something that the player is at least always aware of and knows to watch for. In addition, people can play on other people's accounts for reasons that are essentially honest (or at least, not intending to cheat). It doesn't mean I agree with it, but it is, at this point in time, part of the lay of the land.

The other two are very clearly attempts to deceive and to angle-shoot or cheat other players into entering a situation that is not what is advertised. They are blatant attempts to set up and take advantage of another player in a dishonest fashion.

This story and these threads remind me of a conversation I had recently in Tunica about the people one meets in the poker world.

In my (albeit brief) experience:

The good people I meet at poker tables are generally very very good people; genuine, honorable, worthy of respect and admiration, generous, respectful, honest; people worth being friends with, receiving advice from. The bad people I meet at poker tables are generally very bad people; bitter, angry, two-faced, arrogant, know-it-alls, petty, the kind of people who would kick you in the nuts for a quarter and cackle every time they beat you at anything.

So much to emulate in the first group, so much to avoid becoming in the second. It seems that people who play a lot of poker either react to the cut-throat, anything-goes-within-the-rules nature of the game by turning every part of life into the same sort of game or by drawing a strict boundary between how to play a game that is meant to be played to win and how to live the rest of life. And/or poker simply magnifies whatever character one already has.

I think it sucks that this happened. I haven't met many 2p2ers in real life, but after this I'm kind of proud that Mr Tim Caum and nath are two that I have met.
