I get that, but I think it's a matter of judgment. I've never met HIV, but just from reading his posts and viewing his picture, that's not somebody I would trust. Dude doesn't even have any facial hair yet, so the poster who said 'kids will be kids' is spot on.

Just getting outside of poker, I can't imagine why anyone would do this sort of thing as a person. Its so dishonest, unethical, and every other negative adjective, that I honestly have a hard time conceptualizing it.

Its weird, because I hate people in general and think just about everyone is stupid. But it still would never cross my mind to pull a switch like this, and I'm frankly disappointed that someone (I follow) like Schneids would count someone (such an obvious douchebag, piece of [censored], degen, every other perjorative I can't think of) among their close associates.

im confused why shaundeeb is taking so much heat. just bc he knew and didnt notify nash/gild? was he also financially invested? was it his idea (mastermind)?

seems tongni and hiv acted as complete scum. deeb, however, is just guilty of inaction which is not quite as bad.

or was deeb friends with nash so this is a form of betrayal? if someone tried to scam me and a trusted friend sat by an watched i would proly be more angry at him.

In his defense (and obviously I'm biased) it's rather likely he didn't really consider the implications until they tried it on someone he knew. FWIW when I read this sentence I took it to mean tongni would just be playing on HIV's account, not that they would actively be setting up matches, or goading people into taking a shot.

Can we say there's a difference between

a)Tongni playing on HIV's account,
b)Tongni playing on HIV's account and, say, posting an NVG or BBV thread entitled "HIV SITTING AT 1K/2K STARS GOGOGOGOGO",
and c)Tongni playing on HIV's account and having HIV actively set up HU matches vs. him?

a) doesn't seem too scummy, but b) and c) pretty clearly are. It's quite possible at first, I'd think, to assume or give them the benefit of the doubt they just meant a) until it became clear that it was otherwise.
