Dell 2001 LCD problem

After another day of bad beats I gave my monitor an open handed slap. I now have a yellow stain where I hit it and purple lines vertical and horizontal covering a high portion of the rest of it. Is it done for? I'm not very computer savvy. Should I call Dell??

if it persists when you turn the monitor off, leave off for a few seconds, and restart it, your monitor is probably broken.
