I get the feeling that if they were watching the game on TV they'd recognize it was a live ball immediately, but being in the game makes it much more difficult. That being said, if there's any chance it was a lateral and you haven't heard a whistle, just dive on the ball! Sometimes I wonder if these guys are afraid of looking silly.

Also that was in no way, shape or form a statue of liberty. SoL is when the QB is still, looking like he's passing and then the RB takes the ball off of his hands. It is not a playfake and a handoff wtf.

5 yards and not a huge deal but that was a terrible call. Jets had it at the 20 ball goes up in the air while reciever was at the 23 - he was inside of 5 yards - or if it was past 5 yards ball was in the air and it was tipped so no PI.

Unless Competition committee changed it to 2 yard chuck

The greatest irony of this game is that Brady is playing almost identical to Manning. He's focusing on the underneath stuff and letting the running game win the game. The drive has stalled out a couple of times and they've had to settle for field goals. He's left points on the field with a few bad decisions.

I've covered the schedule of the Seahawks and Jets already, but let's go again. The Jets got to play the NFC North, woeful except for Chicago. They also got to play the Raiders, Cleveland, and the Kerry Collins version of Tennessee. Surely, the Titans who went 8-3 down the stretch and lost 23-40 to new England was vastly superior to the Titans at the beginning of the year, who lost to the Jets 16-23.

Furthermore, the Seahawks were injured during the regular season, and the team that compiled that record is different than the team in the playoffs.

The Pats stall out again, and kick their third field goal of the game. This is starting to sound familiar, is it not?

I understand what you're saying when you don't always go by the stats. "Stats aren't a replacement for common sense" as Aaron Schatz often says. However, I've found that often my common sense is wrong, and when the stats are saying one thing and my gut is saying another, my gut is wrong.
