[ QUOTE ]
...when it happens to me on the river with the nuts in a big 20/40 pot I will not be subscribing to the "it all evens out in the end" theory. [/ QUOTE ] ...been there, done that. Once it was AK (in a 10/20). Another time it was top set (forget which game). Both winners. Yes, its painful. Perhaps I'm a sucker but I think WPX has earned a certain reservoir of good will. Yes, these incidents have demonstrably cost me money. On the other hand I've made over 21K in rakeback and hauled in a decent amount of aces cracked rewards. There's no malice behind balky software. Perhaps I've benefited from someone being folded out. The way I look at it is that I could turn myself into an indentured servant to Stars in the hope of making 40% of what is given to everyone and anyone at WPX. Though the benefit of rakeback diminishes in an absolute sense when moving up in limits, the absolute number is fairly stunning. I've not played enough hands at WPX to make Nova at Stars yet I get several times the ultimate benefit. [ QUOTE ] but I would hope that people who do email support about being folded unintentionally should have their money refunded [/ QUOTE ] I'd just like to see the problem fixed. I can stomach the short term loss, but would like that little sacrifice to bear fruit in terms of a tech investigation into why the system isn't working as it should. [ QUOTE ] but in the meantime proactive customer support could help aleviate the problem [/ QUOTE ] ...that's my hope. Part of the problem seems to be that these disconnects, time outs and sit outs don't happen to everyone. For several months I thought the complaints were nutty because I wasn't having problems. After the last major system upgrade everything was very stable. About a month ago it changed for no apparent reason and the site was close to unplayable for me. Anyway, fundamentally I'm very grateful to WPX for what they've done. Hopefully threads like this will bring attention to the issue that there are still technical irregularities at the site which may be keeping or have driven poker players/sports bettors away. |
