1 - Super Metroid
2 - Super Mario Bros 3
3 - Metroid Prime

These three are so far in front of anything else it's not close. Then it gets close between Elite (very old PC game), Street Fighter 2, Ikaruga, Mega Man 2, OoT, Doom, Contra, Tetris, Halo 2, SSBM, Goldeneye and others for the other two, depending on my mood.

No idea why Starcraft is getting so much more love than Warcraft II. Warcraft was tons better, playing on Kali... Anyhow..

1. Warcraft II
2. Half-life (including day of defeat)
3. Civ 2
4. Heroes of Might & Magic 2
5. Starcraft

Anyone who doesn't include Super metroid is an idiot or has never played it. It really was the best game ever made.

Xwing was way better than Tie fighter, way better.

Other greats

Castlevania SoTN
Mario 64
Zelda: A link to the Past
Planescape:Torment
Diablo 2
Phantasy Star Online
Street Fighter (whichever really)
Metal Gear solid (whichever really)
Mega Man (whichever really)
SSBM

Sim City deserves way more than just one mention in this thread.

Also, if I could figure out how to play X-Wing or TIE Fighter again, I'd do it in an instant.

I only played X-Wing on a Mac, and I got a Thrustmaster joystick specifically for it. I remember not being able to beat the first "real" mission. I was barely able to pass the training levels.

Defense of the Corvette class Korolev, right?
That was damn hard. I managed to finish it with quite a portion of luck, but after that imba mission it really got much better - yet still very challenging.

BTW: Also got that Thrustmaster (Mark II), had it imported from the US (to Germany) for quite a steep price. Never regretted that investment.

I just came across mine. It's a Mark I, and I'm guessing that the II was a better stick. I think it cost like $80 when I got it, though.

I wonder if they make ADB->USB adapters (I had a Mac back then, with ADB ports)?
