when i am a famous film director in the next 24 months you can tell people you knew me on the internet.

[/ QUOTE ]

Meh...Dominic keeps telling us the same thing.

[/ QUOTE ]

I do? How so? Point me to a post where I say I'm going be a famous filmmaker. That was juvenile, pathetic and totally uncalled for. Merry Christmas to you, too, Douchebag.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yikes. You're right, it was a dumb thing to say. Keep in mind that all I know about you is that you've made porn movies in the past, which is why I brought up your name when KKF mentioned that he'd be a "famous film-maker in the next 24 months" -- which is a pretty farfetched claim to make. I wasn't trying to touch a nerve there or take a shot at you, which apparently I did. My apologies.

Accepted.

Jordana Brewster was a grade or two below me in college and I knew her very well...not only was she (far) too attractive to date me, but also too awesome and smart to do so as well.

I got to hang out at Bill Gate's house last summer (woohoo for interns). Talked and listened to him (along with a bunch of other nerds). Was pretty sweet.

The Blazers used to hold preseason camp at my first college (Willamette), so i've worked out with (spotted, got spotted by, etc) Clyde Drexler, Cliff Duckworth, etc.

[/ QUOTE ]
Tell us what Cliff Duckworth was like.

[/ QUOTE ]
big and (he struck me as) pretty lazy. really friendly, though and i'm guessing that his workouts at their preseason camp weren't of the intensity they'd normally be.

Did you run into any other members of those awesome early 90's Blazer's teams, like Jerome Porter or Buck Kersey?

A couple of memorable encounters:

In High School, I used to work at a dermatologist's office who is pretty big in her field and had some pretty big patients. One day, we closed early for what I thought was no reason. Everyone was being weird and secretive. Come to find out Madonna was coming in to the office that evening. Didn't really get to talk to her, but chatted with her bodyguard for a while who happened to be from Queens (which is where I'm from).

Madonna ended up saying hello to everyone on her way out (She's really tiny, and I'm only 5'7"). And by that time, the paparazzi had gathered outside the office, and so the bodyguard asked me to hold the door for them while he served as the leader blocker to their car waiting outside. As soon as she walks out the door, the flashbulbs go off in unison and I inadvertently end up in one of the pictures that were taken that was in the papers the next day holding the door. (I wish I still had that pic. Not really sure where it went).

Also in H.S:

My friend's dad is a pretty big figure in the boxing world and I was invited to an event that was held at the ESPN Zone in NYC to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the release of Rocky. It was held on the same night as a Tyson fight (don't really remember which as I was too shocked at all the people who were there).

Ended up sitting at the same table as Willie Pep (famous for winning a round without ever throwing a punch) and Lou Duva, and got their autographs. Also ended up meeting Evander Holyfield and Riddick Bowe (Didn't get Evander's autograph, but I did get Bowe's. They're both ridiculously large and have ridiculously large hands). We never were able to get to Sylvester Stallone, as he was always surrounded by people, but we did also get to meet Danny Aiello, Derrick Coleman (He just happened to be there) and Carl Weathers (to whom my friend commented when shaking his hand "Hey! You got your hand back!", as he had just been in Happy Gilmore).

Oh, last encounter, or maybe lack thereof as I was a chicken-[censored] bastard. I was visiting a friend in Ann Arbor around Thanksgiving and happened to have a return flight out of Toledo Airport. As we park at a metered spot in front of the terminal we see a Mercedes S-Class pull into the spot in front of us. As my friend and I get out of the car, the people in front of are getting out too. My friend says to me "Isn't that that girl from that show about the Creek?" I glance over, and lo and behold, it's Katie Holmes (She's damn cute). I'm traveling light so I end up going into the terminal and getting checked in first, and am sitting at my gate (which is a flight going to Raleigh-Durham, NC). While we're sitting chatting, who walks over and sits down in the row of seats facing us, but Katie Holmes again, who happens to be on the flight to Chicago that's boarding a few gates away (I guess she didn't want to cause a commotion at her own gate). I was ridiculously early for my flight, so I was all alone with my friend waiting at my own gate. I continue talking to my friend, and discuss how it would be really funny if we asked her to take a picture of us, just for fun, and while we were discussing it, her flight starts to board, so we never got that picture. But I did get a smile out of her as she got up to board her flight. (I must admit it made me swoon a little)

We gotta have bigger names than this, it's a god damn poker forum.

[/ QUOTE ]

I won't tell the stories, mainly because they're boring. But because you wanted bigger names, Duke, I've met:

Matt Damon
Moby
Michael Stipe
Cameron Diaz
John Cusack
Spike Lee
Kiefer Sutherland
Jeb Bush (*shudder*)
Lou Diamond Phillips
