Sucks man, you run bad. We all do. I don't care what people say about playing less tables and concentrating. Do whatever it is that is most comfortable to you. Play 2 million more hands, and you will end up a winner.

p.s I think you should stick to 200NL... when you start running more "normal" it'll be better in terms of $/hr

TV

Great post. I know myself i put way too much emphasis on the beats, and not enough on the dumb plays. The bottom line is that the PROFIT in poker comes from chip conservation when you are behind, and chip extraction when you are ahead. The beats will come, let them.

In your example, you said you lost 500 over a session. And for a lot of people, that loss would have been directly related to the set over set disaster that "unfairly happened to you". But yet, as you said, had you not donked off that 250 over 2000 hands, and you had extracted another 250 when you were ahead, then your session would have been breakeven. And then you would have said to yourself, this time i got unlucky but still broke even. When I get lucky, I'll cash in big time.

It's all in the perspective.

LFTV pure gold but far far too good for BBV. Fgators I thing that will help your game immensely would be to use PT to review your biggest losing hands after each session and you will see just how badly you played a lot of them.

Who is carrotsnake and why did he own Fgators so awesomely hard?

I didn't catch up, but Fgators was just starting to say how other people play on his account. This kills that moronic brandi thread by a mile.

fgators,

You're [censored] ridiculous man. EVERYONE RUNS BAD NOT JUST YOU. People deal with this a number of ways. They move down for a while. They play less tables. They review hands after sessions. They hire coaches. They post questionable hands. They do drugs and let it ride. Fgators stop bitching with yer bitchass.

ive played with fgators more then most here. In no way should he be a losing player at 1/2 from the hands I have had with him. He does have a few obvious leeks in his game (I have seen you open limp on button, in re-raised pots you sometimes make mistakes, dont 3bet enough, etc.). I hope things get better gator.

What are you saying when you look at that $27K number? That if you never had coolers, setups, and bad beats you would be rich? Wow, AWESOME!

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't see what's so crazy about this. I think that if I never had coolers, setups, and bad beats, there's a good chance I would end up being a winning player.
