[ QUOTE ] It's not difficult to see even with someone you are in love with (or smitten with or whatever) that perhaps they don't have the best bankroll management abilities and that they shouldn't be trusted. If he didn't want her playing that high then he doesn't need to let her play on his account with that much money in it. He can either transfer $29k out of it so she only has $1k. [/ QUOTE ] Finish this conversation for me... Brandi: Can I play some poker on your account? Mark: Sure, but let me transfer $29,000 out of it first [/ QUOTE ] Brandi: HYCHACHACHACHACHACHA IM A CUT ME |

anyone with any legal knowledge know if i can actually do anything about this? or if it would be worth the time and effort and drama? [/ QUOTE ] not a lawyer, but what exactly would you be suing her for? You willfully allowed her to play on your poker account. She might have lost the money playing cards, but unless she chip dumped or withdrew the money to her own bank account, this is simply between you and her. It's a gambling debt, unenforceable in any US court (especially since the poker room is offshore). The only thing she's guilty of is playing bad poker and if that was a crime, most of this world would be in jail. |

What is the 2+2 record for views/posts in a certain time frame (or in general)? Is this thread anywhere close to a 2+2 record of some sort?
Just wondering. |

I think above all the wonderful gossip and character assassination in this thread, my favorite aspect of this entire thing is Blackjack's role in it. He comes into the thread, fires off nine or ten replies, saying essentially the same thing in each post (yeah, we get it, "captain tom" as a verb is just hilarious). Everyone tells him he's the worst poster alive. He vanishes for a day, comes back, makes one post and gets smashed in the face again. Repeat.
Oh, and here's what I've learned from all of this: New members to 2+2 should be required to view a certain number of threads before their posting priveleges are instated. I never realized how unfunny-while-desperately-trying-to-be-funny so many of you are. Stick to lurking. Please. |

Finish this conversation for me... Brandi: Can I play some poker on your account? Mark: Sure, but let me transfer $29,000 out of it first [/ QUOTE ] BINGO, if you are never going to trust people, many will get insulted, especially gf/wife/potential gf. If he was in love and she had a good grip on him it is tough to not get manipulated this way. I don't know how old he is, but the older you get the easier this stuff gets as you recognize when you are about to walk into the trap based on experience and avoid it, but almost everybody screw up on this a few times before they learn. |

[/ QUOTE ] Finish this conversation for me... Brandi: Can I play some poker on your account? Mark: Sure, but let me transfer $29,000 out of it first [/ QUOTE ] Brandi: Why? Mark: Because I worked hard to earn that money and would like to keep. It's not that I don't trust you (inner monologue: I don't trust this chick), but it's better to be safe than sorry. Brandi: YOU DON'T TRUST ME?!!??! BUT I GAVE YOU A TUGGER. I'VE BEEN SEEN WITH YOU. THAT'S GOTTA BE WORTH SOMETHING!! Mark: Settle down. I appreciate all of that. But you can't blame me for being cautious. This is a risky business I operate in. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and all that. Brandi: Well I think this is [censored]. <<runs to the bathroom and locks the door behind her>> Mark: Inner monologue ((OH CRAP)) BRANDI!!!! Brandi: Leave me alone!! Get away from me you bastard!! Mark: Uh, Brandi, don't be irrational. This is stupid. Ok, how about I let you play with $2k instead? Brandi: [censored] YOU!! Mark: <<common sense meter in the red!! must...make...good...decision...>> Mark: ok, Brandi, either you accept these terms and stop being so dramatic or I think you need to leave. Brandi: FUCKK YOU!!! YOU'VE GOT GREASY HAIR BY THE WAY!! Mark: (Inner monologue: God damn this feels a lot like that [censored] that happened with Chantel. Let's see, how much do I want the punani? Is it worth $30K? Clearly no. Ok, next action...) Mark: Brandi, get the [censored] out. If you don't do it voluntairly, I'll be calling the cops next. THE END |
