[ QUOTE ]
John Wayne is a fairly common pairing of first and middle names that seems to show up in a lot of fairly heinous criminals. [/ QUOTE ] John Wayne Gacy was awesome! j/k I think this speaks to the parents and raises questions about genetics. After Kennedy died, there were a lot of Lee Harvey's spawned. |

Genz,
Of course its still used in compound nouns. But its my experience that if you called your museum tour guide, "Der Fuehrer," he'd check the color of your shoelaces. |

I think Dick wins. Homer's a good one too.
Helen is just outdated, not ruined. 30 Helens agree. |

"Reisefuehrer", "Zugfuehrer", "Fahrzeugfuehrer", "Geschaeftsfuehrer", etc. are okay, but simply "Fuehrer" - a big no-no unless you're running around in eastern german regions with a really short haircut. Back to the names, I knew two girls called Pamela who weren't too happy about it, either. |
