and you can see the popularity of names through the years. Looks like Adolf is probably the only example that can be directly attributable to one person. It was the 905th most popular name in the 1920s, but has not been ranked since. Other names have declined (see Bertha), but I think that Adolf is the only pure example of what OP is talking about. |
