Late Pass, I have some questions:
1.) If the Haitian guy or the Father (not 100% certain which one) block out people's powers, how did that congressman Petrelli guy fly away from them in a previous episode (When they cornered him in Vegas) 2.) If DL can go through things, couldn't he go inside his arm/chest area and take the bullet out? 3.) What is your best guess as to what the father's purpose is? (or the agency he works for) What did they do to Parkman and that radiation guy when they caught them? (Little scar on their backs) Are they just evaluating them or what? Also, the entire Jessica/DL/Micah storyline has to be scrapped soon.. the story is so boring, the kid's acting is really bad and annoying, it really drags the story down.. I like the multiple storylines connecting, but that seems to be the odd one out every time and puts me to sleep.. This storyline is my only big gripe. And Ando is my favorite character. |

[/ QUOTE ] 1) This is a very good point. It would seem that the Haitian doesn't have to actively 'turn on' his powers (as evidenced by the scene when the cop is sitting with his partner in the car, and the Haitian and HRG happen to stroll by - he can't use his powers). Why then wouldn't he supress Nathan's ability to fly? 2) I think DL has to activate his powers (unlike the Haitian). When he's prepared for it - he can use his powers. I think the show will go the opposite direction with Micah. I have a feeling he will play a huge role in the future of the show. |

One of the things that's pretty well established is that every hero has a single power. However, it is sometimes possible for heroes to use their powers in creative or unusual ways. ... Peter's ability has a very serious limitation. It's a really powerful power when it comes to other heroes with passive abilities, like healing. However, for any power with conscious use, he both needs to realise the other hero has a power AND he has to quickly learn how to use it. We've seen several examples where heroes need to learn and refine their power (ie: the cop, Nathan) [/ QUOTE ] quick note on peter's "single power". The best theory so far I have heard I read somewhere on here (use your judgement on that site, contains synopsis and opinions on everything that has happend so far = spoilers) I think his power is empathy, which explains the dreams he has in other people's perspectives (A theory on the explanation of what happend at the end of the season finally). He copies other people's powers (given). And it reflects in his personality, and what he enjoys doing (was a hospice nurse before doing this hero thing) |

[/ QUOTE ] 1 - this was covered earlier, I like the explanation of he is a general telepath, and can block out/ recieve things from the mind (including block out mind-based powers) 2 - I thought he did? 3 - No idea... We'll find out soon enough random thought on why Eden's powers worked on Sylar before when he was caught, but not afterwards when she died: Either Sylar was able to figure out what was going on, and self blocked it (meh with that idea), or the presense of the Haitian enhanced Eden's powers/blocked all of Sylar's mental powers (including a somewhat "mental protection" from this sort of thing that Sylar might have)/ a combination of the two. The Haitian is getting cooler and cooler. EDIT - another small note, on Micah being Sylar 2, I have similar thoughts, but even if he did, who's head is that kid gonna cut open? Too bad |

On the NBC website they have an online comic up which expands on the show. The newest comic introduces a new character to the show before her television debut.
