boo, i had 10K, folded to me in SB w/ AQ, I raise to 650, BB shoves 7500, I call and lose to AK.
Foucault says he would call instantly, and so did the guy who shoved; I dunno. I'd raised him blind v blind like 3 times and never showed, but I'd completed and we checked down w/ nothing a couple times too. And it's a big overbet to make w/ AJ or worse. 2500 left. |

[/ QUOTE ] I say fold, unless you've been raising his BB a ton. Almost everytime I see this AQ is either chopping with AQ or way behind TT+ AK. |

yeah, i was in a v similar spot in the stuper a few weeks ago (raised button, sb overbet shoves, i call and lose to AK...). after that i did the math and basically he needs to shove AJ (or worse) half as often as he shoves AK, assuming he doesn't do this w/ AA-KK and rarely does it with QQ, all of which which is reasonable I think
afterwards i concluded it was a really marginal spot with high variance and I should probably fold if it ever came up again, esp. since AK is the most obvious shoving hand ever and TT-JJ are played differently more often. But I'd been sitting on 10k forever and I wanted to accumulate. Plus I was so ready to jam over CO who had 4K and raises too much that I think I made the wrong choice because I'd like prepared myself for a big race or something. //// anyway, two shoves and up to 3K at break. At least it's the big-ante level and I have the perfect stack for it. |
