the father is obviously someone more powerful or of higher status then were lead to believe. How the heck do you get a room made to stop someone with powers like sylars in a paper making plant that quickly? Its like its been there since the place was built.

I think that sylar figured something out while in the cell and then just played the waiting game. I'm not sure what subdued him in the first place, but i think it's very possible that he didn't need the girl to get out and was just waiting for a chance to eat her brain before he waltzed out of the joint.

I'm surprised you guys haven't touched on the father saying, "I owe you my life" and the subsequent dialog.
This seemed to be some pretty strong foreshadowing that he will, at some point in the future, die to save Peter. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] If the Haitian could cancel out other people's powers, then Nathan Petrelli wouldn't have been able to fly to escape them in Las Vegas. [/ QUOTE ] The Haitian simply may not have been using his blocking power at that moment. [/ QUOTE ] That also took place during the strech of eppisodes where the writers were totally on crack. I agree that this is a glaring issue. The only explanation is that they wanted to let him go. [/ QUOTE ] Actually, there is another very rational explanation: The Haitian's "power negation" abilities work on MENTAL abilities (e.g. power of persuasion, mind-reading) NOT PHYSICAL abilities such as flight. I'm confident that the Haitian does not have the ability to block Claire's regenerative powers, Nikki's superhuman strength (as Jessica), Peter's ability to mimic the powers of others, Ted's radioactive powers, or Hiro's ability to manipulate time and space. The Haitian's other ability also has to do with the mind (i.e. erasing memories) so it's logical to assume that his abilities are focused on the how one's mind works and one's mental capabilities, not one's physical capabilities. |

[/ QUOTE ] This assumes that the father has, or has access to, some precognitive ability. While this is possible, I think it's unlikely because if he did, he probably would have already known that Claire was in danger and wouldn't have to be told about it from someone else. |

[/ QUOTE ] it's obvious that Mr Bennett is taking orders from someone else and executing upon someone else's agenda so I'm more curious about "who is he working for and what's that guy's agenda?" my guess is that it's Linderman but maybe it's someone yet to be introduced. |

ok, I only saw the episode this morning, and there's one thing bothering me.
Didn't the cop-mindreader SEE claire's dad, when he was kidnapped? |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeh, but he doesn't remember it - he's also seen the haitian, but the haitian wiped his mind of that. He just remembers the static. How come Peter could see the future? That's what I want to know. Why's he coughing etc too? I assume they're related. |
