-Yes, but
-it annoys me infinitely when my friends who watch tv poker use that as their reason for not liking Greg Raymer.
-So I suppose I'm like a lot of you guys. I do it, but I understand that it's very unreliable and unfair.

[ QUOTE ]
I am very strongly opposed to just about every other form of prejudice I can think of except for this one. Not sure what to make of that. Of course, everyone will say "but this one is something people can control" which of course is part of the equation here, but I don't think it's quite that simple to dismiss or all that different, really.

[/ QUOTE ]

el d,

no one can control their race, gender, sexuality, or any other things we think it's not ok to discriminate against. for the most part fat people do have control over their weight, but for whatever reason they choose to not eat less, exercise, or whatever. to me this shows a fundamental lack of self respect, so if they don't respect themselves, what does that say to me?

also i was recently pushing obesity after a few years of crappy eating and not exercising, and now that i have lost most of that weight and look much better, i have found that i feel better and more confident, and that people have been treating me differently now that i am thinner.

where do we draw the line about where prejudice/discrimination is ok? if i can't be prejudiced against fatties for not having enough self respect to stay fit, is it ok for me to be prejudiced against drug addicts? that might be a bit of a stretch but hopefully you see what i'm getting at.

this seems like the thread to ask this:

anyone else ever notice that many "fat" (not obese but maybe chubby or only kind of fat) girls often have incredibly pretty faces? i'm not sure if i think this because i am surprised to see fat chicks who are pretty, if being fat somehow makes these girls prettier, or if it's something else i'm not thinking of

BPS,

Whenever I see girls who are a little fat that have really cute faces all I can think about is why they don't drop some weight so they'd be full on hot.

yeah but then i wonder if their face would still be so cute. like there is this definite "chubby girl cuteness" that i rarely see in thin chicks. i will try to find some pictures to see if i can illustrate this point better.

Did you take the test linked in this thread? There is 1 fat woman who is so not pretty, I am doubting she is a human female. (The "thin" Asian-ish looking chick, she I would bang.)

Oh and the answer to your question - not really.

That is probably it.

I'd prefer to have a skinny person sit next to me in an airplane than a fat person, but other than that

Your data suggest little to no automatic preference between Thin People and Fat People.

I have <8% bodyfat fwiw.

I don't really care if somebody is fat, but I'll still make fun of them.

K,

That always boggles my mind too. I mean, they have to know the facts, right?

If you are a slightly overweight guy, the difference in chick you get by dropping a few pounds is not that much.

On the other hand, if a slightly overweight girl drops a few pounds, she can date a whole new level of guys.

Given that fact, it's hard to understand why certain girls don't work just a little bit harder.

BPS,

I think Mandy Moore is a not-fat chick who has that style of prettiness.
