Villain and I haven't played a hand together yet. I did see him make a pretty horrible play on another table we're at. Check behind here or just sick the rest in?

I'd bet about 2/3rds pot with intention of all in on the river. You would want a call I'd think.

just stick it in, villain has like 45$ left in a 82$ pot, checking behind just gives him a reason to dump his hand if he is drawing an misses and putting it in when he hits. He might also get scared on some rivers if he has a made hand and not pay you of

I lurk a lot but don't post much. Just trying to get better at finding folds when it's very possible I'm beat. People are donks but even the biggest donks won't usually stack off with top/2nd pair here. Perhaps I'm giving him too much credit though?
