This is the Seahawks game to lose unless Dick Lebeau comes up with something brilliant in the 2nd half. Sea can mov the ball at will if they would just stop making stupid mistakes. And Pitts offense isnt looking to good besides the miracle play at the end of the first 1/2. Ben seems to be throwing a lot of Brett Favre type ducks up in the air.

Dont you mean if the refs would stop making stupid mistakes????

we get it. you think the refs suck. you don't have to say it in every single post

[/ QUOTE ]

All I am saying is that it is getting old. You can tell who the refs want to win...

I like our pass protection, I think the Steelers are stopping Alexander so far. I think the Seahawks need to keep Roethlisberger contained, he seemed to get it going late. Either Roethlisberger and/or the Steeler blitz gets it going 2nd half, or we're going to win this game.

Seattle has everything going against them.

Couple suspect calls, poor clock management, and Pitt should be much better in teh seond half.

Can anyone of you say conclusively that ball did not touch paint?

[/ QUOTE ]

This is the problem with that call. Watching the replay, it is CLEAR that Ben takes the ball into the end zone after he was already downed. And the ref who had the best view, didn't signal TD until AFTER that point. In doing so, now the video evidence has to be conclusive to overturn it, which based on the replay was not going to happen.

Had the ref ruled them short, as it looked like it should have been ruled, then they have to find conclusive evidence the other way, to rule it as a TD. Which wouldn't have happened.

I don't blame the refs for not overturning the call. I just think the crappy initial call was horsesh**.

And to whoever said crazy monkey tilt? Yeah, it's feeling that way so far.

The ball does not have to cross the white. It only needs to touch it. That happened as he was being tackled. When he landed, he did indeed land behind the line but the ball had already touched the white on his way down.

Ok, everyone, there was some luck in 1st half - but this is football, not chess. There is some luck and bad calls in every game. And you know for a fact that Hawks have benefited from such in previous games and that Pittsburgh has suffered from such in previous games. It evens out in the end.
