Perhaps we should establish that "evolution" happened at all before feeling the need to reconcile it with intuition or inspiration.

You dont mean establish. You want to be careful to only use the word prove, because then you allow wiggle room at the end. Plenty of things are established and still wrong. Evolution is DEFINITELY established.

Well, I really just meant you require it to be proved to you to some arbitrarily high standard and we obviously aren't going to do that. So its pointless. If you want it established, you are in luck...it is entirely established.
