Ribeye with Roasted Fingerling Potatos and buttered peas.

This was just a simple sunday dinner. Nothing too fancy, easy prep, easy to cook, regular everyday ingrdients.

Here is some of the ingrdients.

Finished Product

I also threw in a spinach salad and some french bread rolls.

Preparation.

Peas:
Pour frozen peas into microwave safe dish.
Cook in microwave until hot.
Stir in salt, pepper and butter while hot.
Plate.

Potatos:
Clean and cut in half or quarters (depending on size)
Place in oven safe dish with salt, pepper and rosemary.
Mix to evenly coat.
Cook in 375-400 over for about 45 minutes, stirring a few times.
Plate.

Ribeye (topped with mushrooms - recipe below):
Clean steak and pat dry.
Sprinkle on Salt, Pepper and "Montreal Steak seasoning" (or whatever spices you want)
Place in Panini grill on high for about 7-9 minutes rotating once.
For rare you can eat the steak now, if you want it done more then finish in the oven with the potatos.

Mushrooms:
Clean
Cut into large slices
Marinade in bowl with olive oil, salt pepper, and Worcestershire sauce
When steaks finish place mushrooms on grill
Cook for a few minutes stirring occasionally.
Put in bowl or plate on steaks.

Where is the love for desserts?

Cheesecake and 3 Rows of Oreos.

Preheat oven to 350.

Start with three 8-oz packages of cream cheese, a cup of sugar, 1.5 tsp vanilla, and 4 eggs.

Hit them with the mixer until smooth.

Take one row of Oreos and process them with the blade.
Take one row of Oreos, put them into a ziploc bag, and break them up with a rolling pin (or whatever).

Press the processed Oreos into the bottom of a springform pan.

Once the cream cheese mixture is smooth, add a pint of sour cream, and continue mixing. Once THAT is incorporated, add a cup of whipping cream, and mix again, until that is also incorporated.

Fold in the Oreos you broke up in the bag.

Carefully pour that mixture into the springform.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. The center should firm up. Once the 45 minutes is up, turn off the oven and open the door for a minute or so, then close the door and leave it in the oven for about 10-15 minutes. Set out to cool, having run a knife around the outside edge. Since this is the minor leagues, my cake cracked.

I figure on 12 slices...make a slit with a paring knife and insert an Oreo into the appropriate spot. You should have 3 Oreos left to consume afterward.

Enjoy!

sackup,

skin side up first is standard

mebenhoe,

Ever tried eating the skin? Sear both sides on high heat until the skin gets crispy and slightly golden-brown. It's pretty good.
