That is what eBay Gnome accounts are for. If you have been around since the beginning you might have a few. Back in the day all you needed was an email to create an eBay account, no confirmation, credit card, bank account.

I feel dumb for not pre-ordering as many of these as I could. I remember earlier this year saying these things would be selling for ridiculous amounts of money once I heard that there was a shortage of Blue-Ray laser diodes. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.
I wonder how many of these they could have sold today if they actually wanted to. 10 million or so maybe? |

All the hype and free coverage was a direct result of the shortage. If they had 10mil units available today, everyone would be talking about how $600 is too much to spend on a console and would be buying a Wii instead until the PS3 came down in price.
Just a couple of week ago, there were tons of fan boy arguments over the price point, performance, and quality of gaming. Today, it's all about the PS3. Wii? What Wii? |

Well I went to TRU this morning, arrived two minutes after the store opened, and apparently they got 3 of the 60gb and 3 of the 20gb. Somehow two people had gotten there before me, so I got one 60gb and one 20gb. Oh well, we'll see how much I can get for the 20gb.
