They were baked from raw with a shake in a bag stuff, so probably not exactly what you're looking for, but not frozen.

Here's a quick, easy to make, but delicious meal, that you can use to pretend like you're actually a good cook.

Pan Fried Salmon Fillet with Broiled Red Potatoes
Step 1

Take some red potatoes(3 should do for a single serving), wash and slice them into quarters if they're small or eighths if they're a little bigger and throw them in a pot.



Step 2

Add water to the pot, and bring potatoes to a rolling boil on high heat. You'll see some nice foam as in the picture below. Allow them to boil until you can stick one with a fork and feel some but not strong resistance.



Step 3

Drain the water from the pot and put potatoes back on the stove at medium heat. Add butter and your seasonings (garlic salt and pepper). You want to add enough butter that you can have a nice thin coat of butter all over your pieces of potato. Stir the potatoes and seasonings until they are nicely and evenly coated.



Step 4

It is at this point that you'll want to start frying your salmon fillet. Use either a non-stick spray such as PAM or a very light coat of butter to grease your pan and put the fillet on with the skin side up. The way I generally fry a salmon fillet is about 3-5 minutes on the non skin side. Flip it to the skin side for 1-2 minutes. Re-flip it back and remove skin at this point, then flip again and fry until finished.



Step 5

Now that you've started frying your salmon. Take the potatoes and spread them out on a cooking sheet.



Step 6

Place the potatoes in your oven on broil. Have the rack set at the top level and if you are using an electric stove you will have to leave the oven door slightly open. Make sure when broiling something to keep a close eye on it. You will want to broil the potatoes for around 6-8 minutes, until they are starting to get lightly browned. Make sure not to overcook as they go from nice and delicious to burnt pretty fast.



Step 7

Enjoy! I boiled some frozen corn to add as another side dish in the plated picture seen below. If you're looking for a good drink to go along with this I recommend your favorite red wine.

Even at 4 star restaurants, I am guilty of sometimes ordering a burger. Angus Burger at Float Away Cafe in Atlanta (http://www.starprovisions.com/) is by far the best burger I have ever had...and it should be at $17 (IIRC).

no idea, thats just how I've always done it and its always turned out well for me, but I am by no means an expert cook obviously.
