I would like to say that there might be a lot more context to the situation that might have led the cops to do this OTHER than resisting arrest (like him beating a little kid in the face or something) but the report says that all they charged him with was resisting arrest so...

The man is pinned down and he has a knee in his neck. Put the handcuffs on till he calms down and give him a 1/2" more room to breath.

We're not seeing the whole video. As was mentioned in the article

It looks excessive, but I'm sure he deserved it.
Can't tell definitively one way or the other without knowing context. But jacking that dude in the head, while satisfying, was probably unnecessary.

It doesn't matter how you get the handcuffs on, as long as you do to restrict his movement. You can always fix the cuffs later. However, as I said before, there are easy ways to get the guy on his stomach. With 2 officers, they should have been able to do it easily even if the guy was fighting.

When they try to put the cuffs on the badguy, THEY ALWAYS RESIST! seriously, what is so difficult with letting the cops handcuff you? why do people not understand that when a man struggles to keep his hands from being handcuffed by a cop, he is not complying?? WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THAT?? [/ QUOTE ] Perhaps they know that a couple good shots, coupled with a talented lawyer, could get them six figures.
