daryn,
i guess i'm a hater too. while i laughed pretty hard at times, other things just were 'eh', and i think i would have liked it better if it was more about the cleverness of his humor and less about shocking people. |

Have you watched his TV show? This is what he's about. If you don't like his type of comedy, your not going to like any of his skits or shows.

Just saw it, def dont think it lives up to all the hype. I guess if you have NEVER seen da ali G show before you might be like OMFG so funny!!! But if you have seen it before, the movie will be nothing special to you aside from a few funny scenes.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] The Reviews it is getting are incredible. 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and 90 on Metacritic, Metacritc being the more impressive number of the two. [/ QUOTE ] care to put these in perspective for someone who is not too familiar with these sites? i'm assuming not many movies get ranked that high? [/ QUOTE ] A 90 on Metacritic is pretty much incredible. Rather then rattle off recent movies because I do not know what you liked and didn't, look here: Poke around and see what other films you may like are rated. The recent reviews are on the left hand side. Here is the main page of Rotten tomatoes: Rotten Tomatoes You can see that many movies do not even come close to a 95%. I put more credence in Metacritc because it uses a better grading system and more well known critics but both are good. Edit: Right now Borat is the 36 rated movie ever on Metacritic. Take that for what it is worth. The movie review industry is substantially different now. However, that is an awesome rating for a flick. Also keep in mind there are still quite a few reviews that have not posted yet. [/ QUOTE ] Talented Mr. Ripley only got a 76. This is my tester movie to see if a scale is accurate. Boo. Also the search on Rotten Tomatos yields this: The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Bad news. I just got it from reliable sources that Azamat Bagatov is not even a real peron. He is not a TV producer from Kashikstan, but an actor named Ken Davitian from the US and A. [/ QUOTE ] F U and your IMDB. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

It is not like there is any bias. So seriously what's your point? That the critics are not good? LOL join the club. |
