No tricks for counting the bets, but a "trick" for a quick estimate of your odds: The rule of 13!
On the river outs + odds = 13 (from 5 to 9 outs, which is the most relevant part). So with 5 outs you need about 8-to-1 odds to continue.

This is a rough estimate that neglects the decimals, but for a live game that's better than pulling out a cheat sheet. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
