Default passive line w/ AQo

400NL 6-max

Effective stack ~$450

UTG (25/4/1) opens for $12, MP (45/10/1) calls, CO (60/5/2, 57% W$SD, 90 hands) calls, I call on button w/ AQo, SB folds BB calls.

Flop ($62) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

UTG checks, MP bets $16, CO raises to $32, I call(?), folds around

Turn ($158) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

CO bets $80, I call

River ($318) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

CO bets $180, I call

Flop call is a little dubious, but it's only half pot, so it's fine.

The rest looks fine.

The CO may be minraising w/ A6 or A2 as he plays many hands. In this situation I think I fold on the flop, but that MAY be too passive--I'm not sure on this table. As it turns out the running jacks give you the best hand if he in fact had two pair on the flop. If I made it to the river I would call, but wouldn't be surprised to see a boat....

I don't like the flop call. That min-raise seems awfully suspicious. I like a healthy re-raise to like $90 total to help CO define his hand more, and to prevent MP from fishing since he will be getting about 9 to 1 to call. Also, it gives you the betting lead, and you can use your position on the turn to decide how the turn changes things.

If he shoves then we would need to re-evaluate. Possible shoving hands include AK, A6/A2 two pair, Axss (pair and flush draw), flush draw no pair, and a set. Equity of AQ against this range is 29%:

Board: 6s 2s Ad
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 70.3872 % 68.97% 01.41% { 66, 22, AKs, AsQs, AsJs, AsTs, As9s, As8s, As7s, As5s, As4s, As3s, KsQs, KsJs, KsTs, QsJs, QsTs, JsTs, AKo, A6o, A2o }

Hand 2: 29.6128 % 28.20% 01.41% { AcQh }

If he shoves over your re-raise to $90, and MP folds, you are getting about $590 to 350 or ~ 1.7 to 1 which would require 40% equity.
