In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3 - Coheed and Cambria
Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt - The Mars Volta (don't know if this counts but it has a bunch of random noises in the middle and then a kick ass ending.) |

[ QUOTE ]
Was just listening to November rain and got to the ending where the main part of the song is done and then it gets quiet before they come back with a totally different way to preform the same song. imo this can make an average song (like novermber rain) much much better. What other songs have a good add-on at the end that takes the song from good to great? [/ QUOTE ] November Rain is only second best in this category amongst Guns N' Roses songs- Estranged holds down #1. |

When I saw the thread title, Layla was the song that instantly jumped to mind and I agree 100% with the poster who said Layla. The outro to the "plugged in" version of Layla is one of the greatest in the history of music. SpaceAce |

I always turn Layla off as soon as it goes into that gay sweepy part. Seriously, talk about an antithetical answer.
And also, I'm disturbed OP said November Rain was an average song (even without the powerful ending). Double shame. |

Agree with Oatdyke/baumer on Layla.
But I do think November Rain is a pretty meh ballad without the ending solo. |

Any of you guys heard "Floods" by Pantera? The whole song is meh, but that outro...WOW! I wish they woulda made a whole song out of that riff.
