Just got a trade offer today. I'd get McGahee for Alexander. Good/bad? I should have taken LT2 instead of Alexander this year. I have sentimental hate for Alexander (he went off for 5 or 6 TDs the week after I traded him a few years ago) to begin with.

Agree with above. Don't trade Alexander for McGahee.
I'm thinking about trading Brady for McGahee in a 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 OP (any offensive player) league. I have at QB: Brady Rivers Grossman Carr Frye RB: Westbrook Lamont Jordan Reuben Droughns WR: Darrell Jackson Eddie Kennison Derrick Mason Matt Jones Opposing team: QB: Alex Smith RB: Rudi Johnson Maurice Drew Willis McGahee Thomas Jones Cedric Benson Travis Henry WR: Deion Branch Jerrico Cotchery Reggie Wayne Doug Gabriel Marques Colston Bernard Berrian Basically, he really needs a QB, and I need to pick up some help at either RB2 or WR2. I think I can grab either Wayne or Branch by giving up Frye/Carr with a marginal WR guy or make a move for solid RB help. Any help here? |

5 QBs? Kinda silly.

Well, after the 12th round of the draft, I doubt I'd be getting good value anywhere else. QB is a pretty damn deep position, and I thought starting QB's were undervalued. And also, this is why I'm trading some of them.

Always draft extra RBs. There are way too many marginal QBs and you have a lot of them. RBS are more important than QBs.

Neway, what do you think about the trade, and how best should I get value?

Looks fine nothing spectucular. I think you need to improve your receiving corps as well if that means moving another QB, I think you should. At most you should have 3 QBs on your team by the end of the bye weeks.

This is really silly. You want depth at every position. You have a ridiculous amount at QB, you only start 1, so you only really need a backup. You have to start 2 RBs and you have only 3. You really don't have any options when one (god help you if both) have bad matchups, and 0 options on a bye week or injury... not to mention that other than Westbrook none of your RBs are particularly good. Next time draft RBs first

You start 1 QB and 1 OP. OP is any offensive player. Guess who you should start there?
QB. It's really a 2 QB league, and I'm lucky most of my opponents haven't caught on to that. And I did draft RB's early, I just sucked at drafting them. I thought both Droughns and Jordan would be a lot better, I also drafted Dayne (who I dropped recently). Yeah, I suck. |
