He's either limping a monster or spite calling with an A enough of the time that I really don't like the play.

Even the worst players wont limp a monster in LP - I take this pot preflop 70-80% of the time.

Default Re: \'Official\' Party Poker super monday thread.

3825 at second break. What an odd, odd, hour.

I'll recap because I pretend you care.

Started hour at 1795.

10:17 - Lost about 350 chips calling a huge raise PF with AK and then folding to an all-in. Showed AA/QQ.

10:21 - Jumped back up to 1700 taking down the pot on the flop with JJ after calling a raise PF.

10:23 - Doubled up to 3400 after flopping a set with QQ against AA. QQ will be a recurring factor it seems.

10:30 - Drop to 2550 after a terrible play with 44. Wasn't paying attention to stack sizes and called a minraise when a shorty was almost destined to push after limping. I didn't hit a set and had to fold after investing 25% of my stack PF. Dumb dumb dumb.

10:36 - Raise 3BB with QQ in EP. Call a reraise/call from the blinds. Flop top set. Stack the caller. Rejoice. Up to 4650 now!

10:38 - Jump up to 5000 after calling a big EP raise with AK and taking it away from him on a 4-heart board. I don't have a heart. Pun intended. (I know, not that funny. I'm not a great writer )

10:44 - Complete in the SB with Q6o after a limper. Flop top and bottom and take it down. Back up to 5000 after raising and backing down from pressure on earlier hands.

10:47 - Blinds 75/150. Raise to 400 with TT and call 525 more from a guy in the blinds. Fold to his bet on a Q-high flop. Down to 3500 now.

10:52 - Raise to 400 with KQs. Shorty pushes for 900 more. I call and don't hit on his QQ. Guess it's ladies night. Down to 1500.

10:55 - Didn't work the first time. Let's give it another go. Push with KQs in the BB after two limpers. They fold. I build to 1900.

10:56 - "Ladies love me" Round 3. I push after a big stack raises with QQ. He calls and his AQs doesn't hit. Double up to 3800.

10:57 - And as good as I've been with QQ, I've been bad with 44. Drop another 600 chips after calling a raise. Implied odds my ass. I'm getting a beating here. Down to 3200.

11:00 - How fitting. CO raises to 400 at 75/150. I shove in the SB with...take a wild guess. He folds. I jump back up to 3900.

Anyways, I've never had so much action in one hour. I usually play the "fold until I get a monster and push push push" game. It's not as fun as it sounds. This was much better, but I also got some excellent cards.

Currently, I'm sitting at 3173 at 150/300. I'll probably just fold into the money like a pansy as usual. GL everyone!

So let's say 70%. 70% of the time you have 2000 chips. 21% of the time you're out, and 9% of the time you double up to 3500 or so.

Eh, I still don't like it. Different playing styles I guess.

oh yeah
hahahaha

Couple reasons for my push.

1. Felt SO much like a steal on the flop. I guess it could have been an enticing bet with something like KQ or so. But given our stacks, I think he stabs at this pot 90% of the time whether he has anything or not.

2. My stack. I have 10BB and we're nearing the bubble. I want him to think that I'm not ready to put all my chips at risk without a monster. I'm really curious if he calls if Ms. AA doesn't push in.

So, we like?

Default Third break

Bubble time. Up to 13000. Had the awesome 72d hand and then doubled up again against a loosey-goosey with AQ against his QJ on an AQ6 flop.
