I pretty much agree with everything DB said in this thread. I'd never walk out of a movie that I paid for and went to a theater. I have turned off ones that I've rented, but thats about it.
Also, Independence Day is the nuts.

characters were cardboard cut-outs; premise was stupid (crazy scientist sends people ahead but only 20 years); +Chucky 26 (I think it was 4 or 6) only bought tickets b/c it was the only thing playing at the small town theatre that we hadn't seen.

How do you people find yourself paying good money to see such rotten movies? I mean seriously, 75% of the movies people have posted there should have been ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT the movie would be god awful.
I have never walked out of a movie in the theater, mostly because I make damn sure it's probably gonna be a movie I'll enjoy seeing. It's sheer misery to sit through a bad film in the theater. Although it's my policy not to walk out, there are only 3 movies I have ever seriously really really really wanted to. 1. Charlie's Angels 2 (not my movie pick, went with a group of friends and the chicks picked it) 2. The Hulk (the 2nd most bored I've ever been in a movie) 3. Lady In The Water (the MOST bored I've ever been in a movie)

At the price of movies, you have to use reviews to filter out the bad ones. Trailers can make any movie look good. the trick is to pick a reviewer with your tastes who knows how to tell you what you need to know without spoiling it for you.
