[ QUOTE ]
lets assume you brought the glok to the home game....now lets assume sum junkies rob the game wit a couple shotguns...what now?? do you risk your life for a minor addition to your bankroll why not leave the piece at home all im saying is money comes and goes but once your lifes taken you wont get it back[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [/ QUOTE ] Seriously, in this situation I would just let them have the money. No need to get into a (outgunned) gun battle over money. As long as they leave it'd be all good. Problem comes from if they do decide to blast... then what?? I would hope that any person who legally carrys has been through the required training classes and understands the consequences of each situation. I'd hope that most people who carry aren't walking around wishing that they'd get a chance to use it. In all honestly, when you do carry, you become the biggest pu$$y in the world. You let people shove you, call you names and just walk away... Why? Because once you decide to stand up for yourself when you're carrying, it ain't gonna end up in a fist fight, you'll end up in jail or dead. Guns just escalate violence, so its best to avoid it at all times. It's only when you are left with no choice where it comes into play. BTW, just got back from the home game. No I didn't bring it. Yes I did win. |

You sound like a mature person, but the host should make the decision. I would prefer that guns be checked into my gun safe so that they are out of the way. There is a player in my home game that carries and he leaves the gun in his truck. I trust him to carry.

[ QUOTE ]
I live in a state where I can carry concealed. I have a permit to carry and usually carry everywhere. However, when I'm invited to a home game of someone I don't know, or where there will be people I don't know, I'm not sure what I should do. First, my questioning it isn't because I think I'm gonna need it. But it's posed in general as a person entering somebody else's home who I don't know with a firearm. Should I ask the homeowner? Should I just leave it in the car? Should I not tell anyone? I am carrying concealed, so most likely nobody would ever know. There's always the chance that the gun could get printed or accidentally revealed. I'm afraid if this happens it would panic everyone else there since they don't know me. After all, how would you feel if you saw the dude next to you was packing. We're aren't playing high stakes, $20-$40 buy-in tourneys, so chance of robbery or foul play is low. But who knows. However, I'd kick myself if one day I needed it and it was in the car. [/ QUOTE ] I am white guy and I worked in the projects for 20 years and I never carried a weapon. I think you are a p u s s y. Put away your toys and learn to carry yourself like a man. |

if you must-- carry a hammerless revolver in your boot and ankel holster. this way no one ever sees it and it is where you can get it in a hurry from a sitting position.
