Default Re: Thoughts on ebaying/reselling ps3\'s

[ QUOTE ]
Is anyone else worried about the bubble bursting here? I have yet to meet anyone who is thinking about getting a PS3, but isn't thinking of selling it on eBay...have you? This isn't a secret to anyone, anywhere; the local news station have this story already written, they even have the stock footage ready.

There are ppl who will be keeping them, and parents who will be buying them for their kids for xmas. The general public is going to get in line the day before for this.

I think it's going to be much, much, maybe even exponentially harder to get one on the first shipment, the profit will be less, and you might have to be in that first shipment to make any real profit at all. Throw in the bid fraud and the vacation time I'd have to take, and I'm thinking it's not worth it.

It is going to be harder, thats why I plan out going to camp the day before rather than the night before. I told my buddy that he has to get off work early the day before so we can get into line by 4 or 5 pm...if the line has too many ppl at that point we will hit up a couple of the 24 hr Walmarts and get in line. And in order to take advamntage of the market you will have to get in on the first or second shipments of these. The problem is figuring out when the next wave ships is much tougher than figuring out the launch date.

Btw I would venture to guess out of the 46 or so 360 units my BB sold on launch day, most of them were being kept or used as presents...only a few of them did the ppl plan on ebaying them. There are tons of Playstation fanboys out there, and they will be in line trying to get one.
