Default The Departed: Martin Scorsese\'s new film

Been seeing ads on TV. Here is an information link with a "review" : The Departed

In the TV ads Jack Nickolson has a great line that he stole from me - "lets kill everybody".

My kind of movie.

I know there isn't much there, but no need to clutter the board with 2 threads....

To me, it looks like everybody is trying too hard. It looks like Donnie Brasco without the charm. But I hope I'm wrong. I like all the actors in the movie.

I will go and watch this film, but I have no faith in Scorcese right now.

He really needs to win an oscar, and he is going to continue to try to make the perfect fit until he wins. At this, he will not make a good film again. At least, not of the caliber of good fellas or casino.

It's currently 100% fresh at RT.

The original film was gritty and entertaining; the new version is a masterpiece -- the best effort Scorsese has brought to the screen since Goodfellas.

This movie looks awesome. Goodfellas and Casino were both excellent movies, Scorsese is a great.

this is great news. I am an infernal affairs fan and was skeptical about the remake. Granted I was going to watch it regardless, but now I'm definetly gonna see it

I'm pretty pumped about this one - if it is half as good as I want it to be it'll be my favorite of the year thus far.
