The three of us are chatting and he's going out of his way to act possessive of her in subtle ways (sitting close, intruding into the convo on occasion, that sort of thing). It *looks* like he's her boyfriend; at least, he sure made it seem that way. He did everything he could to show ownership except pee on her leg.

POTD. That line really had me laughing.

who's praying dikshit is metagaming the LSE and actually has found legal loopholes, but decided now would be a great time to let his shareprice plummet, rebuy all the shares he sold and then BOOM!! pwn us all with his legal mumbo jumbo that his multi-billion dollar company can just about afford.

everything goes back to normal but dikshit makes $1bill in a week.

wishful thinking perhaps...

Personally, I hope Party goes down the tubes. A fitting end to a crappily run company. But, I only hope that happens if there is a reshuffling and all the Party fish find somewhere else to play, hopefully a site with low rake.

Man, a lazy delivery [censored] just pissed me off.

I called to order a pizza from Pizza Hut a while ago, and the driver calls me a few minutes ago that he can't find my house. I live in a guest house that I rent behind a main house. I usually ask these guys to park out front then walk to the back so they never block the driveway. I always explain it flat out so that theres never a misunderstanding when I order.

Well, when he calls he asks me to walk out to the front to meet him there. Um, [censored] you pizza dude. I pay you so I can be lazy, not the other way around.

Well then dude asks me if he can drive back. I tell him no, and that I gave instructions otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I'm not usually anal and I'm pretty easy going but these are fairly easy instructions and I'm not asking the world of a pizza delivery guy to walk back the length of an average driveway.

Dude starts mumbling something, then says he's in front of my house. I hang up and go downstairs only to see [censored] just drove into the driveway when I just told him not to.

Well, I hate this kind of [censored]. So I ask him why he drove back here when I told him not to. He tells me he's not going to walk back here. Holy [censored] man, the length of the driveway is maybe 30 yards at most. Its not a [censored] mile. So I ask him just what I'm paying for, and he gets into a flat out arguement with me.

Finally he asks me if I want the pizza or not. I tell him to take it back and I get his managers name and number. I come inside and call her, explain my situation to her. She offers me a free pizza and apologizes for the driver. I decline the free pizza - no way in hell I'm ordering from this place ever again unless I want a spit topping - and tell her I just wanted to inform her of the situation. Basicaly I just wanted to bitch.

As I'm hanging up, I hear her say "shuuuuuuuut upppppppp" in her ghetto I barely graduated from HS tone and I'm blowing you off tone. WTF. I call right back and ask for her. I get her general managers name and number, and then I tell her that she should make sure the phone is hung up before she tells someone to shut up. She gives me the worlds worst "oh haha I've been caught" laugh and then says she was talking to her employee who was asking what happend. No [censored] way I'm buying that.

I'm going to go Bill Frist all over Pizza Hut. I'm on a crusade.

OK, I've been asking everybody about this, so I might as well ask you folks.

Remember the way-too-young-for-me gal that I was asking about? Things got stranger.

Sunday I see her after church (nah, Pokey didn't find religion -- I'm just scoping the scene for chicks [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]). I sang in the choir because I've got a *lovely* singing voice (go fig) and she sings in the choir and the guy she's sitting with is the ass. choir director (abbreviation intended). So, I wanders up and introduces meself. She asks me what I do for a living, and when I tell her that I teach she lights up like a Christmas tree -- she's studying to teach, too, and she's clearly excited that I'm into that sort of thing.

So, we's chattin'. She says, "are you busy on Wednesday nights?"

I says, "nothing that's recurrent." I'm cool like that.

She says, "we have choir practice on Wednesdays at 7pm; you should come by!"

Toolio interrupts and says "...but not this Wednesday; we've got a meeting, so it'll be boring."

She doesn't miss a beat and says "oh, I find those meetings enjoyable; it's fun listening to people bicker."

(She invited me to something quasi-social, he tried to keep me away, she invited again. Okies....)

Then, out of nowhere, she says "here, let me give you my phone number in case you need to get in touch with me." The guy starts to sputter something like "what...what are you...?" and she just says matter-of-factly "I'm giving him my phone number." And she does. Fun, fun.

Then, it happens: Sunday school lets out and my goddaughter wanders out. Realize that she's 5 years old and just as cute as is humanly possible. OK, so five years of nuturing are about to pay off: I drop down into a crouch and point at her, thinking "girl, I've been investing in you for half a decade, and it's time for you to PAY OFF. Come on, 7-7-7!"

BOOYAH! She spots me and come trotting over, giving me a huge hug and climbing into my arms. I introduce her to them, knowing that I just scored some MAJOR points (chicks totally dig puppies and lil' kids). She's shy and coy and sweet and just does the whole chick magnet thing perfectly. All this with no training! Remind me to buy her another stuffed animal the next time I see her....

Anyways, my goddaughter and I wander off to find her grandfather, and a bit later I see Potsie and the gal sitting on another bench, and he kisses her hand -- like I said, he's doing everything but put a collar on the gal.

SO:

WTF? The girl asks my aunt who I am, she gives me her phone number without my asking for it, she seems highly attentive and whatnot, but Urkel sure seems like he's her beau. What's my next move? To put it into poker-speak,

Hero...?

My plan is to call her on Tuesday and figure out once and for all what's going on. I'll say something debonaire like "so, you mentioned Wednesdays are choir practice, but your boyfriend said that there's a meeting this week...." just to see how she reacts. What can I say? I'm cool like that.

Life can be exciting sometimes: I know it's all going to end disasterously badly, but I'm not sure HOW. Fun, fun.

[/ QUOTE ]

in a mocking tone i think you should roll with:

"so, you mentioned Wednesdays are choir practice, but your BOYfriend didn't seem keen on me coming..."

this way you find out whether or not you find out if he is her boyfriends, and not just from what she says but her reaction to a very bold line. in poker terms its like betting TPTK strongly to find out where you are. Also it will mean you don't have to waste an afternoon on a lost cause

Pokey, You should totaly go after it. Her BF sounds like a conservative republican who doesn't like poker. Do it for the rest of us.
