Tell me about it, we never did get a straight answer as to who was buying massive amounts of put options on American and United Airlines just before 9/11.

A lot of the 9/11 conspiracy sites seem to think this "proves" their BS about the US government knowing about the attacks ahead of time -- I think a much more likely explanation is that someone in al qaeda, or close to al qaeda, used their prior knowledge to do it.

And it's not like they couldn't repeat this -- you think the terrorists haven't thought of buying up a bunch of oil futures and then bombing a pipeline in Saudi Arabia?
