it really depends who you hang out with/live with. if you can manage to not be around people that are smoking it's really not too difficult. if you have roommates that smoke a lot or friends that you hang out with it's going to be tough. i've taken breaks before, my longest being ~3 months. if it's any motivation you will feel a lot better after about a week or two and i personally needed a lot less sleep to feel rested. smoking - 8-9 hours/night. no smoking - 6-7 hours/night.
