Play at Harrah's. It is the only place worth playing.

And nowadays with only low limit action and a $6 rake per hand, it's almost not worth playing there anymore either.

I am not certain what you mean by "nowadays," but they have had a $5 rake + $1 BBJ policy (on the limits games) for at least the past 3 years. They only started charging time in the NL games when they reopened in February. And the standard $6/down time charge (for all NL/PL games) is cheaper than most other casinos.

Alas, the "biggest" game going during the week is usually 2-5 NL. The 5-10 NL game usuaully goes 3 or 4 nights a week. But there are weekly games that provide lots of action: 10-25 PLO (Thursday), 10-25 NLHE (Friday), 15-30 Limit Omaha Hi (Tuesday and Friday), and 25-50 Limit Omaha Hi (Sunday). Plus there is now an early bird tournament every Sunday morning at 9:00. The Hotel at Harrahs just opened last week and that should help them market themselves to more tourists.

The Beau Rivage has some bigger games on the weekend - they had a 50-100 PL/NL dealer's choice game the other week and they always seem to have a 10-25 or 25-50 PLO game going - but they only have 16 tables at the waiting time can be brutal.

Hopefully, we will start getting some conventions back in town, and the games will get bigger and better. I am optimistic that tomorrow night's festivities will get people excited about visiting the Big Easy.
