By the way, I was at the Muck for the first time last Tuesday for the "double stack" tourney. I got there 30 minutes early and it was already full? Is that typical? Do I need to get there right at 6:00 to get a seat?

[/ QUOTE ]

Wednesday is actually a better tourney. Like a double stack but you get an extra 500 chips. Though the cost is a bit higher. But both are pretty popular. Likely will be even more popular now that the weather is starting to turn.

Both can fill up quick. Early sign ups start at about 5:30p. This is after they go around to people already in sidegames for signups. That happens about 5:15.

Last night was pretty dead, though. The tourney director was even (sarcastically) trying to get me to play. Which is kind of a long running joke between us.

Last night (Friday, the 22nd), they started an interest list for 2/5 Spread HE. They got 8 names at about 7 pm and it stayed that way until I left at about 9:30. Don't know if they ever got it going.

The game had a max buy-in of $200, and max single bet of $50.

2/5 Spread to 50 HE game WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1/2 NL
2/5 500 NL
I guess I'd take a spread limit game
but seriously I"ve never even heard of 2/5 50max bet spread limit sheesh. I'm glad they got the name list to 8 but I still think they should be aiming for 1/2 NL or 2/5 NL Max bet 500 oh well
This is why we have to all get togethor figure out what we want, make a plan and all show up on the same night and see what we can get started

Usually, if the game isn't going by 6-7p on a weekend night, it's not going to go. There usually aren't any tables left to start the game.

I think you might've read the board wrong. Or a '0' was probably erased. I don't see them spreading a $200 max only $50 max bet game.
