I mean, I play on party poker and they auto post things like "the 200k guaranteed is starting in 15 minutes." Why not do the same thing but say "Online gaming may become illegal, call your senators"?

This is obviously something the online poker sites don't want happening.

I think the reason they don't do this is that it might scare off quite a few recreational players, leading to reduced revenues and player base growth. In other words, for the online cardrooms, the cost of direct action (via text message broadcasts) is likely higher than the benefit that would result from it. Just a thought.
