Default Nor Cal Poker Specifics

What is the softest game at the Oaks casino in Emeryville? I understand they have no NLHE? How is the NL action at Lucky Chances?

Others can respond about the Oaks.

As to Lucky Chances, until January 1 they only have spread limit - as opposed to no limit. The 1-1-2 blind game has a max buy-in of $200. The 2-3-5 game has an uncapped buy-in. Both games have a capped betting structure of no more than $200 per bet.

The 1-1-2 game is generally pretty soft, although sometimes there are a handful of decent players. The quality of the 2-3-5 game is more dependent on who is at your table. Sometimes it is a tough game filled with aspiring pros and semi-pros; whereas at other times the table is filled with loose donks and tight-passive players - making the game very easy to beat in a big way.

The 1-1-2 at Lucky Chances is usually super soft on weekends. During the week, the games are usually a little bit tougher. If you want a good table look for the asians!!!

All the small stakes stuff at the Oaks is super soft and generally passive. Not sure on games above 6/12...

Artichoke Joes has a $2000 min buy-in NLHE game that runs on Friday nights.

The Oaks does not have NL cash games. The softest games are any game with "Hold EM" in the title. They have 1/2, 2/4, 3/6, 6/12, 15/30, and 30/60(Tuesdays and Fridays 1pm)
Most days there are 2 15 games(must move) going in the evening. Also, the 15 game plays with OVERS buttons on days when the 30 isn't going. There are usually at least 3-4 people using them.
If you want to play 30 you should call and put your name on the list a couple days early. The 30 is the only game that can be kinda tough, depending on the lineup. last week on Friday, they got a 2nd(must move) 30 game going.
Supposedly, the 30 game will become a daily game very soon.
