I wonder what Chan thinks of Gold welching on the deal. Even if Gold doesn't care what other players think, I would imagine in Chan's circles that stuff is pretty important. IE - they might look down on Chan for continuing to associate with Gold. I know I would. [/ QUOTE ] Chan's circles? What exactly are you implying? That because Chan is Chinese his entire base of family and friends all follow a single code of ethics passed down from generation to generation. Chan and his "clan" have been here long enough (decades) and have been involved in the gambling industry long enough to know what goes on. Someone claiming that another guy owes him 6 million is not going to cause Gold to "lose face" with Chan or Chan to lose face with anyone else. So far all we have is the story of one guy. Maybe it's true and maybe it's not. Even if it's true we all know that when it comes to big money everything is negotiable. |

I think by Chan's circles he meant high-stakes gamblers, but nice speech.

[/ QUOTE ] I assumed that the reference was to Chan's peers on the poker circuit. How you got race or clans or whatever out of that is way too twisted or politically correct to believe. |

Jamie Gold, the most hated man in the history of poker appears to be the super (natural) talent that world has never seen. Long series of wins in big tournaments seem impossible with edge like 800% max to ordinary tourney players, that the top players are said to have. Who is this guy? A messiah or anti christ?
Now it's time to jump the bandwagon. Be the first, not the last! Go Jamie! Show them all where the chicken pees from! |
