I keep my hair very short - I get it cut once a month at Hair Cuttery. $14 plus a $3-$5 tip depending on how well the haircut is and how much I like the person.

Rick, Please post a pic that shows your haircut. We all want to see your flowbee doo. [/ QUOTE ] I have a few of the Flowbee in action that I took for my cousin (who absolutely couldn't believe I used it). I'll try (only used an image hosting site once) to post one along with a picture of me on a "good hair day". I might white out my face though, there are already too many 2+2 types beating me up at the tables . That said, I think Andy Fox once posted that I have "hair to die for". Of course, I think Andy would take just about any hair he could get. ~ Rick Edit to say it will be later in the day, I'm not at my home computer. |

![]() LOL wtf, is no one else going to laugh at Rick using the Flowbee??? [/ QUOTE ] It doesn't make sense for the woman in the picture above. But it works great when you have real thin straight hair (I have Polish hair from my Mom) that you sort of keep in a 2" layered look with only a modest taper around the edges. You get a consistent cut and don't have to worry that the stylist is fantasizing about putting a "Brad Pitt" style doo on you that really only looks good on Brad Pitt. I found out that the Flowbee might work for me (despite the way the movie Wayne's World made fun of it) one late night at the Commerce when a infomercial was on one of the TVs and a couple of players at my table were laughing at it. One guy with real good hair similar to mine in texture said it works great for him. I ordered it and I've been virtually barber/stylist free ever since. If you young spendthrifts incorporate the Flowbee, boxed wine, and "Two Buck Chuck" into your lifestyle you would be ready to retire in no time. Just marry better than I did. ~ Rick |

My buddy, an African American, goes to the Barber about once ever week or week and a half. Looks like there aren't many african american males posting here.

I had very long hair for almost 20yrs. I finally cut it off about a year ago and was going to an expensive salon approx. once a month (ie. $50 w/tip.) After a few months of that I bought some clippers on a lark and decided to cut my own hair (I was high at the time) and the results were excellent! I seriously think I do a better job than the salon. Possibly the best $20 I've ever spent. Now I cut my hair about every 2-3 weeks and can't believe I didn't cut my hair sooner.
