When trying to decide what to get from the vending machine or what to eat or order, I try to find some method to randomize my decision. If I have a coin I'll flip it, or I'll push both buttons on the machine at once and see which one registers.
Also, a couple times on long car trips back from the casino alone when i've felt really tired, I'll scream obscenities about girls I fantasize about as a means of keeping myself awake after all the usual tricks have been exhausted, (opening the window, turning the radio up etc.) |

I can't watch embarassing moments on TV especially on sitcoms...if a character gets in an embarassing situation I have to change the channel. One of the many reasons I can't watch Friends: that's the plot of every episode. [/ QUOTE ] This is funny...I remember laughing out loud AND feeling extremely uncomfortable during Swingers when Favreau keeps calling that girl's machine back at like 3a or whatever. |

Can you people please provide an example of something that you recently could not watch? [/ QUOTE ] Very hard to think of a good example, it doesn't happen very often, but basicly the entire movie "very bad things" gives me the feeling that I want to look away. edit: "Swingers when Favreau keeps calling that girl's machine back at like 3a or whatever" stolen from someone above, but it's a very good example of something I just HATE to watch. |

When a passenger of a car, I'll look out the window, and imagine a big stick figure running on top of the trees or buildings or whatever is outside.
I change the channel during uncomfortable scenes too. I'll never watch Swingers alone. When with a group, I'll keep my pain inside. |

I never made it all the way through that video (used to be on Ebaum's) of a college TV station, where the poor sports anchor just butcher's his segment. [/ QUOTE ]why? What happens to you guys if you watch it? [/ QUOTE ] It just makes me feel really uncomfortable. Basically, I empathize way too much with the people who are feeling uncomfortable on-screen. |

Dom,
I struggle with urinating in public as well. Numerous times at work I'll pull up to a stall, but then just before I pee, someone busts in, I shut it down, and I'm stuck standing there while they pee, finish, wash hands, and leave. I think I'm mostly over it now, though. TheMainEvent, I remember doing the run in the house before the car comes thing when I was younger. |

[/ QUOTE ] Wow, I spent alot of time doing this as a kid from the backseat of the minivan. Mostly I imagined the guy doing acrobatic things on the utility lines. |

Jackass where they're harassing random people. Any scene in a movie or TV show where a character is in an uncomfortable social situation -- such as when a guy is being rejected by a girl, someone is being fired, etc... |
