I did notice that you may be just a kid but answered anyway as I had some good arguments. The lack of information one gets from the site makes it less safe to play there. I didn't say the lack of software information makes me a worse player (on average it rates to make me better as I have some years of experience with it already. I think I did mention that I haven't even used it [when playing] at WPEX - I have been playing mostly so short there). Some players will relatively get better because of the lack of software tracking (special talent). Technically it just is not a good thing what has happened.

I don’t think No Rake program was created to provide nice living for tough, aggressive, datamining multitablers. I think it was created to attract a bunch of fun loving gamblers, who are not deeply involved in studying poker theory and could not care less about... [/ QUOTE ] Dataming nulti tablers care dearly about the rake, most fun loving gamblers don't. Do you see the problem??? |

So, you're saying that lack of software tools will force people to play better poker thereby making the games even harder?!?!!? Interesting concept. By this logic, there shouldn't be any fish left. They should have died in 1880's or something. Unless I misinterpreted your point, which is possible. |

I have already stated that I multi table, but I have also stated that I don't care about playing on WPEX.
My statement has nothing to do with what I want to do, rather with the marketing approach WPEX is taking. So you guys want a fun, rake free site that the fish will flock to. Great, who doesn't. But WPEX is using a marketing approach that best fits the exact player you don't want on the site. WPEX claims to have given back over 10 million in rake or whatever it was. Instead of giving it back in some dry, accountant, grind it out fashion that fish really could care less about, why not give it back in a way that appeals to the fish? Regular jackpot bonuses for no good reason or money in their account via email after they have quit playing for a while, so they can come play some more would be much more appealing to the gambling fish. Try to pull off the narrow assuming blinders and actually think about it... WPEX could also throw in some decent random bonuses. If some fish hits a $500 bonus out of the blue, every one of his buddies at the bar or home game are going to hear about it. And the next time they hit, they'll hear about it again. Now multiply this thousands of times around the country. That will get a hell of a lot more fish into WPEX than some grind it out accountant format. Once the fish tells his buddy about the rake free site the first time, what else is there to tell? Big friggin deal. But keep hitting bonuses and give them something fun to anticipate but not know when is a hell of a lot more fun than going to your account and watching your little ticker slowly creep up. That is appealing to the nit grinders, NOT the fish. |

People who do something better than others when they do it standing is no valid argument. If it would be, it would be mandatory for everyone to play e.g. at least two tables to increase the level of difficulty in favor of some type. But how could we then be sure someone is not using a partner who plays the other table? What about making notes or using some other software help? If poker should favor a person with a better poker memory, then no-one should be allowed to write down notes anywhere nor play just few players but as many as it takes for it to show on results. It's a question of the amount of unnecessary extra effort and of the ability to play more tables.

Gregg777, WPEX is trying to take off the blinders and try something new. If they did what you just described, they would be like almost every other site.
I also think you underestimate the fish. They may be fish, but that doesn't mean they are brain-dead. Any monkey can see how awesome rake-free poker is and can especially see it after they put in 20 or so hours there. |

As long as rake is back, whatever the form of paying back is, its all fine by me.
Speaking of fish. Here is what one posted in chat: I dont think I'll be playing here anymore. Dont get me wrong, I like rakeback a lot. But I sure want to win sometimes. |
