[ QUOTE ] No one has even mentioned Zilem's worst play: It's folded to Zilem in the SB, and he limps in w/ 42o; BB checks. Flop: TTx - it goes check, check. Turn: a 4 comes off - again it goes check, check. River: a 2 comes off - Zilem then CHECK-RAISES!!! He gets reraised (the other guy had T4 for the full boat), moans for a while, and finally folds. What hand could he possibly believe could call his C/R, that he could beat? [/ QUOTE ] He was bluffing with a pair no big deal. [/ QUOTE ] Given the action (or lack thereof) on previous streets, what hand would his opponent possibly bet for value, then fold to a C/R? Any hand that falls into this category would have either been bet on the flop/turn, or would be a stone cold bluff, in which case Zilem would have been better off to C/C. |

I saw a re-run of the Lawson final table for the first time last night and I was cringing at practically everything he said or did.
The 'straight' hand was shocking but even worse was the hand with Freddy Deeb where Lawson had the lowest possible full house and still thought he had a chance of winning the pot when Deeb announced he had a house. Then there were the various quotes he came out with - "Every time I play I expect to win" and "My aim is to become the best player in the world". Then there was the way he tipped the dealer with a single bill from his wallet (I'm guessing it was $10) after walking off with the $500k first prize. Complete idiot doesn't begin to sum it up! |

Seems like everytime (day 1) I look up Poker Wire I see Ted Lawson's name.
I would go to Hendon Mob to see if he has many or any cashes since then but corporate has them blocked. Could someone post this? |

I had a top 10 all prepared. Then I watched Dmitri Nobles last night. I have to redo the entire thing.
