I was watching an episode of Cheers and the actor that plays Frasier's dad actually appears as a hackneyed song composer, has some dialogue with Frasier too! Weird stuff.

I really don't know if the guys were famous already back then, but I was amazed at the amount of actors I recognized in "The Bounty". The two most famous being Mel Gibson (ok, I guess after Mad Max he was fairly well known) and Anthony Hopkins (can't remember him in any major movie older than that).
