It's that terrible? The whole table was ridiculously soft so I decided to get in for ridiculously cheap and try and hit a flush.

I did that and somehow a guy called off $212 drawing to 9 outs.

For that matter, call any two cards preflop for a standard raise; you might flop a full house.

Seriously, though, if this is truly how you felt about the hand, you are bad at poker, and should spend more time learning and less time playing for now.

yea...about that...calling with 92s preflop isnt optimal cuz what r the odds of u hitting a flush....what r the odds that ure flush is gonna be good due to higher flushes and higher flushes/fullhouses redraws...so playing 92s is -EV....just fold preflop

Actually you did play the hand pretty badly starting with your hand selection. Lets move onto the flop. Yes! You just flopped your flush and you bet out. Everythings good so far, but once it gets reraised around to you reraise again. You're just asking for someone to chase with a high heart in their hand.

You do understand its $3.

Is this not a fact?

I got a guy to call off $211 with 10 outs.

True or False?

Did he make a horrendous call and get incredibly lucky?

I called to get into a pot with the main raiser who was incredibly bad and bluffing every hand. He happened to hit a set this time but in most cases he was tossing away money.

And don't tell me I suck at poker. I'd dominate your ass any day.

so you are justifying the guy with the set making the call? You are saying it's a good call?

[/ QUOTE ]

Im pretty sure no one is folding a set even when the board is 3 flush.

I called putting the guy on the set. I wanted to push a safe turn card.

I didn't feel like playing a high variance play and allowing the A of hearts to call off $400, which happens all the time and lose to that.

So I called and pushed a safe turn card.

The set is not folding the flop if its not folding the turn.

I got screwed.

You completely dodged the question about me getting a guy to put in $211 drawing to 10 outs.

and its $3 freaking dollars. $3. It's not $5, or $10.

and I figured I was calling $3 into which was likely a huge multiway pot and I had a deep stack, so if I could somehow flop two pair/trip 2s or a straight I could bust the 2 fish at the table.
